Paper Prints Policy
Publication and Dissemination Model
The Journal of AI-Integrated Medical Sciences (JAIMS) operates as a digital-first scholarly journal. Published research is made available through the journal's official online platform, which serves as the principal channel for the dissemination, discovery, access, and citation of the journal's scholarly record. The electronic version is maintained as the authoritative version of record for published content.
JAIMS does not routinely print, manufacture, distribute, or mail physical copies of journal issues or individual articles. Authors, reviewers, editors, institutions, libraries, healthcare professionals, and readers are therefore directed to the journal's official electronic platform for access to published content.
ISSN and Publication Format
Where separate International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSNs) have been formally assigned to the online and print formats of JAIMS, the journal maintains and displays these identifiers accurately in its official bibliographic and publishing information. The existence of a print ISSN is a serial identification and cataloguing identifier and does not, by itself, constitute a commitment to routine physical printing or distribution.
The online edition constitutes JAIMS's principal publication and dissemination format. Article metadata, publication information, persistent identifiers, full-text content, and other bibliographic records are maintained through the journal's electronic publishing platform.

Published content is maintained online.
Physical distribution is not part of the standard model.
Environmental Responsibility
JAIMS follows a paper-free publication model as part of its commitment to responsible scholarly communication and efficient use of publishing resources. By disseminating research electronically rather than routinely producing physical journal issues, the journal seeks to reduce unnecessary consumption of paper, printing materials, packaging, physical storage, and transportation resources.
This approach forms part of JAIMS's broader commitment to responsible and sustainable scholarly publishing. The journal recognizes the continuing importance of international efforts relating to health, equitable access to knowledge, resource efficiency, and environmental responsibility, including the development principles reflected in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals and subsequent global sustainable-development frameworks.
Responsible Digital Dissemination
JAIMS considers responsible digital dissemination an appropriate model for contemporary medical scholarship. The journal's paper-free approach is intended to support timely and global access to research while avoiding the routine material and logistical requirements associated with physical journal production and distribution.
Paper and Environmental Footprint
JAIMS does not represent digital publishing as an entirely impact-free form of scholarly communication. Electronic publishing requires energy, computing infrastructure, network connectivity, data storage, and other technological resources. Nevertheless, eliminating routine physical printing and distribution enables the journal to avoid the additional material and logistical impacts associated with paper production, printing, packaging, storage, and transportation of physical copies.
JAIMS therefore does not produce routine print issues solely for circulation, promotional purposes, or archival convenience. The journal instead prioritizes reliable electronic access, digital preservation, persistent identifiers, structured metadata, and responsible digital publishing infrastructure.
Availability of Paper Copies
JAIMS does not provide routine paper copies of journal issues, individual articles, or other publication materials. Authors, readers, institutions, libraries, and other legitimate users may access published content through the journal's official electronic platform.
The journal does not operate a routine print-on-demand, subscription-based, or postal paper-distribution service. The electronic version is therefore the principal means through which JAIMS publications are disseminated and accessed.
Clarification Regarding the Print ISSN
Where a print ISSN has been assigned to JAIMS, that identifier remains part of the journal's official bibliographic record. Its presence does not mean that JAIMS routinely manufactures or distributes physical copies.
JAIMS will maintain its ISSN information accurately and consistently across the journal website, article records, metadata, indexing information, and other official publishing materials. The journal's digital-first publication model does not alter the bibliographic purpose of its registered ISSN identifiers.
Electronic Access to Published Articles
Each published JAIMS article is made available through its designated electronic publication record. The online version provides the authoritative bibliographic and full-text information necessary for scholarly discovery, access, citation, and preservation. Article metadata, publication information, and persistent identifiers are maintained as part of the journal's electronic publishing workflow.
Digital Preservation
The absence of routine paper printing does not diminish JAIMS's responsibility to preserve the scholarly record. The journal maintains appropriate electronic preservation, backup, and continuity arrangements to support the long-term availability, integrity, and accessibility of published content. Digital preservation is treated as an integral component of the journal's publishing infrastructure.
Accessibility and Global Dissemination
JAIMS considers electronic publication essential to the timely and broad dissemination of medical research. Digital access enables researchers, healthcare professionals, students, institutions, libraries, and other legitimate users to access published research without dependence on physical delivery. The journal therefore prioritizes stable online access, structured metadata, persistent identifiers, discoverability, and appropriate digital preservation practices.
Exceptional Institutional Requirements
JAIMS does not routinely produce paper copies. Where a competent institutional, regulatory, archival, or legal authority has a legitimate requirement for a physical representation of a published article or journal record, the journal may consider the request on an exceptional basis. Any such exceptional arrangement does not change JAIMS's standard digital-first publication model.
Publish Knowledge Responsibly
JAIMS is committed to the rigorous, accessible, and responsible dissemination of medical and healthcare research. Its paper-free publication model supports this objective by prioritizing electronic accessibility, preservation, discoverability, and efficient use of publishing resources while reducing the need for routine physical production and distribution.
JAIMS recognizes the historical contribution of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals to the global development agenda and supports continuing international efforts toward equitable health, responsible development, resource efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
